The Fisch electric log splitter is a small and compact, about the size of many vacuum cleaners. The advantages of these type of firewood splitters is they are small and easy to store and move. They are quiet and cost less than $500.
These splitters have a safety mechanism where both hands have to be on two different switches in order for the splitter to operate.
From what I understand Fisch electric log splitter are no longer available. There are uses ones on Ebay are other places from time to time.
