Log Splitter Hydraulic Pump

Below is a link to where I got my log splitter hydraulic pump. Of the three log splitters that we built over 20 years ago they all are still using the same pump. After all this time and use I am surprised we haven’t lost at least one wood splitter pump. But they are all still working as good as they did when they were new.

The hydraulic pump is literally like the heart of any hydraulic system. This is what transfers the power from the engine to the hydraulic power that drives the splitting ram. Like most hydraulic components, the moving parts in the pump operate under a constant supply of hydraulic fluid. This keeps all moving parts well lubricated and free from corrosive moisture. This helps to allow a quality hydraulic pump to last maintenance and trouble free for decades.
